Synopsis[]
- Kagome continues to spy on Inuyasha and Kikyō from behind a tree.
- Inuyasha tells Kikyō he is the only one who can protect her. She says it doesn't matter, because her spiritual powers are the only thing that can defeat Naraku in the end. They hold each other for a little while and then go their separate ways.
- Naraku has been spying on the two of them through Kanna's mirror. He feels jealousy when he sees Inuyasha hugging Kikyō and blames Onigumo's grubby heart. He says no matter how many times he changes flesh or burns himself, the spider scar on his back from Onigumo never goes away.
- Kagome comes out from behind the tree where she had been watching Kikyō and Inuyasha. He looks straight at her, not knowing what to say.
- Kikyō goes to Onigumo's cave and then goes to see Naraku at his castle.
