Synopsis[]
- Shippō teams up with Mujina in a battle against Inuyasha, and Mujina's sword, Dakki absorbs some of Tessaiga's demonic power.
- Mujina uses the Windscar on Inuyasha and group. Shippō laments, thinking he is responsible for all his friend's deaths.
Summary[]
- Miroku and Sango return, hearing of Shippō's kidnapping by Mujina. Inuyasha then spots Shippō's weeping mushrooms fox magic, leading to a clearing. Inuyasha says it reeks of the other demon, and he then spots Mujina closeby. He unsheathes Tessaiga, but he falls into a trap hole in the ground, discovering a fake Mujina mannequin. Inuyasha angrily uses the windscar but its energy flies away towards Mujina and is absorbed by her sword, Dakki.
- It's revealed Shippō is now helping Mujina. He asks her why she wants to make her blade stronger, and where her father is: he mentions it because he smelled Mujina's father on her in the lair. Mujina hesitates here, a little unnerved Shippō has such a good sense of smell. Mujina claims her father was killed by an evil demon and she wants to make her blade stronger to avenge him. Shippō, remembering his own father's murder, once again pledges himself to Mujina's cause.
- Inuyasha and group continue tracking Mujina and Shippō but are tricked again by another trap, causing more Yōki to be absorbed by Dakki. Shippō reveals he is helping Mujina; Miroku amusedly wonders aloud if he was seduced by the girl. Shippō claims he is just doing what's right. Mujina then smirks and wonders how much power she absorbed from the Tessaiga. She swings her sword and unleashes a Windscar on the group, to Shippō's horror, as he starts thinking all his friends are dead. Mujina says "Ho, such power. Thank you, Shippō. This was all thanks to you."
