Summary[]
- Mujina boasts there's no way Inuyasha could have survived the attack, and now the Wind scar belongs to her. Shippō is shocked, and furious at Mujina, who he thought just wanted to steal power, not kill everyone, and he also thought she wanted to avenge her father's death. Mujina retorts she never promised not to kill anyone, and that her father has been dead for hundreds of years; he died of food poisoning. As Shippō cries, Mujina cackles and says she wouldn't want Inuyasha getting in the way of her taking over the world.
- A furious Shippō lunges to attack Mujina, but before he can strike Inuyasha appears and steps on the fox, revealed to be just fine. Mujina is confused how Inuyasha is still alive, and he tells her she barely has any wind in her attack; she hasn't mastered the Wind scar at all. Inuyasha asks Shippō "Forgiveness or death?" Shippō is angry at Mujina's betrayal, but then Mujina gets a sympathetic look on her face and says she cannot blame Shippō for wanting her death after all she's done. Shippō decides to forgive her. Mujina smirks, her regret a lie, and then takes Shippō hostage, saying if they want the fox returned alive, Inuyasha must hand over his sword.
- Inuyasha scoffs and punches Mujina in the face, undoing a transformation: Mujina is actually a male Tanuki, disguised as a human girl. Mujina wonders how Inuyasha saw through his disguise, and the Hanyō replies Mujina stunk of old-man the whole time. Shippō is speechless, the "father" he smelled on Mujina was actually the badger himself. Shippō says he doesn't care what happens to Mujina anymore, and Inuyasha decides to kill the Tanuki. Mujina is still confident though, as he has Dakki. However, Inuyasha easily slices Dakki in two with his Tessaiga and kicks Mujina into the sky comically. All the stolen energy from Dakki returns to Tessaiga, as well. Shippō asks for Inuyasha's forgiveness, and Inuyasha accepts the apology, but then punches the fox over the head angrily.
- Inuyasha decides they need to investigate the power of Dakki more.
