Synopsis[]

  1. Kōga encounters Renkotsu and Ginkotsu, who intend to kill him and take his Shikon no Tama shards
  2. Kōga eventually defeats the duo and kills Ginkotsu, but is grievously injured during the battle.

Summary[]

The episode starts with Miroku and Sango going up the mountain as Shippō, Inuyasha, and Kirara can not cross the barrier and Kagome has to take care of them. The scene changes to Kōga with his pack trying to cross the barrier set on the mountain. Meanwhile, the Band of Seven are looking at them from the other side and discussing what to do. They eventually decide that Ginkotsu ought to send cannons at Kōga's feet in order to take his Shikon no Tama shards. However, Kōga dodges the attack.

The scene switches back to Inuyasha and Kagome waiting for Miroku and Sango at the edge of the barrier. Inuyasha is extremely nervous but fervently denies to be so. Shippō expressed his concern for Miroku and Sango, but when Inuyasha said that the two were at least more powerful than Shippō himself, Shippō replied that he was concerned about 'this and that' although he does not go into further detail about the subject, although his face turns red.

The scene cuts to Miroku and Sango. Miroku lecherously reaches out a hand, but he comments that he started to feel uncomfortable and that the power of the barrier is a little too strong.

Kōga faces off against Renkotsu and Ginkotsu

Kōga and his band stares at Ginkotsu who was hiding behind the barrier. Ginkotsu fired a shot, and although Kōga avoided the full impact, but is seems that he was still hit. Ginkotsu and Renkotsu hides behind the barrier again where they might safely fire blows without fear of being hurt themselves. Kōga notes that he must lure the enemies out before continuing.

Sango and Miroku are still going up the mountain with Sango in front and Miroku desperately reaching out and trying to fight the purity of the air around them. When Sango asked him what he was doing, he replied that it was nothing.

To lure Ginkotsu and Renkotsu out, Kōga fakes his death after being fired on by Ginkotsu's missiles. Kōga slashes Renkotsu and stuffs Ginkotsu's cannon with armor. Ginkotsu fires at Kōga with several cannons, but it is not enough to defeat Kōga. Ginkotsu launches his top half at Kōga, who slams him down to the ground and makes his way toward the wounded Renkotsu. Ginkotsu self-destructs in an attempt to kill Kōga and protect Renkotsu, sending his Jewel Shard flying to him from the blast. Renkotsu escapes, and Inuyasha and Kagome arrive at the scene to find Kōga, severely wounded but still alive.

Meanwhile, Jakotsu finds Sesshōmaru and fights him.
