A Never-Ending Future is the forty-eighth episode of Hanyō no Yashahime, and the twenty-forth and final episode of the second season titled "The Second Act."
Synopsis[]
Per the request of a fully revitalized Riku, the Half-Demon Princess embark to the west to deal with demons of both low and high rank causing trouble now that the balance of power has shifted with the demise of the Beast King of the Eastern Lands by traveling to the western lands that were once dominated by their mighty paternal grandfather.
Summary[]
As the ship is surrounded by swarming of the sea dragon demons until Moroha use the Sacred Arrow and the Heavenly Arrow Barrage on them. A huge clay monster Umibozu came out of the ocean until Towa and Setsuna kill him.

Trivia[]
- The Sacred Tree of Ages does not even mention Moroha's own efforts in preventing the Degenerate Age regardless of the quarter dog-demon's part being just as essential as her twin half-cousins. Additionally, it is speaking to Sesshomaru, even though he is not within its depths since his recuperation.
- The charms with the Shikon Jewel key chains are shown, which were claimed to have never existed back then, meaning that the time-stream has been restored to normal.
- Inuyasha uses the Wind Scar and Adamant Barrage for the second time since fighting against Kirinmaru upon his return to the physical world.
- The ice demon beast Un'Ei bears a strong resemblance to the Snow leopard from Episode 101.
- Myōga makes an appearance after a whole season's passing.
- Jyūbei also reappears after being absent for most of the season.
- This is the first time Moroha wears a different kimono rather than the miko attire in Aanaki no Sora.
- The kimonos Towa and Setsuna wear are the same ones from Anaaki no Sora.
- Towa doesn't wear her kimono closed, instead wearing it open; she's also wearing bindings of the era, rather than one of her sports bras underneath.
- Towa mentions how Inuyasha's demeanor is quite easy to understand as opposed Sesshomaru's stoic and considerably calmer nature, since Moroha has inherited the quirky half dog-demon's overconfidence and easygoing nature.
- Towa is now back to square one; infusing her innate dog-demonic energies into the genuine Kikujūmonji to fight her adversaries.
Errors[]
- When Inuyasha runs with Moroha toward the ice demon, parts of the Beads of Subjugation are missing.
- Sango mentions that Shippo is has reached the Level 19 of fox-demon magic, although he had said to fellow fox-demon Lady Kyubi, in "Moroha and Family, Together Again", that he reached a wall upon reaching Level 25.
