Fūta (
History[]
After her parents had been killed by humans, Fūta was taken in and raised by Shiori, along with several other hanyō children, including Raita.
When she was a child, she met Setsuna and became friends with her. They grew up and spent a lot of time together. Over the course of time she learned to read, write and do arithmetic in the Hanyō Hidden Village.
Many years before the plot, she was one of the older children in the village with Raita and Setsuna. As the day approached on which Shiori lost her demonic powers and the barrier around the village disappear, she, Raita and Setsuna became the village's defence, Gaga Gozen attacked along with several other demons. The three of them fended them off, aided by the monk Miroku. However, Gaga Gozen was not killed until Setsuna turned into a pure demon. After that, Fūta officially met Shiori's old friend monk Miroku and learned that not all humans are bad, She and the others watched Miroku seal Setsuna's blood using his Buddhist powers.
Shortly afterwards Setsuna left the village and said goodbye to Fūta and Raita. Shiori told them that they had to leave soon as well, and that Setsuna was simply leaving the village first.
Appearance[]
Fūta has fair skin with round ears like a human, green eyes, and short dark green hair with short bangs. She wears olive-green clothes with black and brown armor over them, a brown rope as a belt around her waist, and white cuffs in her wrists and shins.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Enhanced Strength: As a hanyō, she and Raita hunted and killed a wild boar without weapons, something a human couldn't do. At that point she was a child, so it can be assumed that she has gotten even stronger since then.
- Enhanced Healing: In the fight against Gaga Gozen, she was burned on her arms by his poison. Just a few minutes later, her wounds appeared to have healed.
Weapons[]
- Fan: Her fan looks like a leaf.
- Kamaitachi (鎌鼬, Wind Scythe): With this attack, her fan fires wind blades, which attack and hit the respective opponent.
Equipment[]
- Armor: During their teenage years, both Fūta and Raita wore chestplates to protect the hanyō children from Gaga Gozen's forces.
Relationships[]
Raita is her oldest and closest friend. They do almost everything together and even fight side by side. If both of them really left the village shortly after Setsuna, they probably stayed together.
She made friends with her when she was brought into the village. Apparently they were close friends because they spent a lot of time together and fought side by side. Futa was a little scared to see Setsuna as a pure demon, but quickly accepted it.
Shiori raised her and taught her to read, write and do arithmetic. Fūta probably sees her as a maternal figure.
Trivia[]
- Her Wind Scythe is similar to that of Kagura's Dance of Blades.
