Poison Smoke is the 238th chapter of InuYasha manga.
Synopsis[]
- While Inuyasha and Jakotsu fight, poison smoke begins to drift down from up the hill, melting the corpses of the men who Jakotsu killed. The odd swordsman makes his escape, telling Inuyasha they'll meet again.
- Sesshōmaru is also hunting Naraku. He catches the scent of Kohaku, using it as a clue in the hopes that it will lead to Naraku. Jaken explains to Rin that Sesshōmaru's honor was tainted when she was kidnapped, and he must regain his pride by slaying Naraku.
- Inuyasha wonders where the poison smoke came from. He decides to go after Jakotsu, telling Miroku to protect Kagome for him.
- Jakotsu and Mukotsu meet up. The poison master only wants the women, as well as Kagome's jewel shards. He says Jakotsu can have Inuyasha all for himself.
- Kagome and Shippō come across a well to get some water, only to discover its littered with corpses. Then they notice the poison smoke floating about (from Mukotsu), which makes Kagome collapse. Shippō rushes off to go find Inuyasha before its too late.
