Retreat is the 253rd chapter of InuYasha manga.
Synopsis[]
- Inuyasha attacks Bankotsu with his windscar. Ginkotsu uses a hookshot to move Inuyasha and redirect the windscar at the last minute, saving Bankotsu. Bankotsu's halberd, Banryū, gets a scar from the attack.
- The Band of Seven retreats, but not before Renkotsu tries to kill Kagome again because she knows he has the sacred jewel shards. This time, Kirara saves her.
- Rin is inside of a cave in Mount Hakurei after following Kohaku there. There are demons inside, and Kohaku tells her to run away, so she does.
- Rin tells Sesshōmaru that Kohaku protected her from the demons. Sesshōmaru realizes that if there are demons inside the evil-purifying barrier, something is amiss. He starts to understand what Naraku's purpose is at Mount Hakurei.
- Inuyasha starts to pursue the Band of Seven... only to be stopped by Naraku!
