Kakuju (覚樹（かくじゅ）, "Realize Tree") was a priest/priestess who created hitogata Utsugi after the real Utsugi passed away. They later helped Kaname/Michiru learn about Shikigami. He/she was the husband/wife of Utsugi as well as the ancestor of Kururugi.
