The Kamuitama (カムイたま, "Spirit of God") short for Kamui, is a divine power that is wielded by the gods. This power is highly sought after by yōkai such as Naraku. Humans can wield this power as well should they gain access to it. Janis inherited this power as she was the reincarnation of the god Datara's daughter since Janis touched the shard of the Shikon Jewel; whether she was a semi-divine being or a demigod is not exclusively stated.

Trivia

  • Since Janis have the Kamuitama, some humans, or yōkai call her with Inuyasha's group, the "Vessel of Kamui".
