NEW ERA is the first opening theme from the Hanyō no Yashahime, and is performed by the Japanese boy band SixTONES. It begins it run from Episode 1 to Episode 13 until it was replaced by BURN.

Start with Towa's left eye, zoom out shot to her face, then with her twin sister Setsuna, and with half-cousin Moroha. Then goes Towa running, then comes Setsuna, and Moroha. Then the Gold, Silver, and Red Rainbow Pearls out of the water and fly and changes to in circle as the title in Japanese "A Feudal Fairy Tale". Then Towa comes up straight up, Setsuna comes up straight left, and Moroha comes up straight right, and they landed as Towa hold Kikujūmonji, close up to their faces from left to right. Then it goes to the yōkai taijiya and the near close up of Kohaku and his nephew Hisui with his Hiraikotsu and Kirara. At Saint Gabriel Academy, where Towa is, and someplace in the feudal era, like Setsuna standing on the tree, and Moroha relax on the rock near the waterfall. With the three Rainbow Pearls, first from the silver pearl in the center Towa felt surprised, then the gold pearl on the left Setsuna felt surprised, and finally the red pearl on the right Moroha felt surprised as well. From the black screen to the quickest slash of the gold from bottom left to top right, then the slash from middle bottom right to top left, and the silver slash in the center from to bottom. The shot goes to the night sky moves down sees the shooting star where the Half-Demon Princesses on the ground, as the shot goes 50% as they stopped when Towa looked at her sister, Setsuna smiled, Towa looked at Moroha, she smiled as well, and they ran. On the next shot, they jumped. On the next shots, is Jyūbei and Riku as Takechiyo jumps, then Inuyasha and Sesshōmaru, Towa and Setsuna as they touched their hands. Quick shot of the sun. Moroha, Setsuna and Towa battle a demon as seen the colorful slash from their weapons. Towa looked that more yōkai are coming as the quick close up to Towa's face that the glow from her left eye was the Silver Rainbow Pearl. Close up of her foot while she was running, and the shot of Half-Demon Princesses running, from left to right as they stopped running, and the last shot zoom out from the sun above the hill to the Half-Demon Princesses at the cliff seeing the view.
