Oharu was the daughter to the Gokoku Village Headman and the human mother to Goro from her lover, Mahiruma.
History[]
Oharu was born poor alongside with her father. At some time, she meets Mahiruma who pleaded for help in their poor lands. Mahiruma moved by the girl's pleas, blessed the poor lands with grains when her father began charging the villagers raised taxes.
Oharu later meets Mahiruma in his human form where he begged her to steal back his Blessing of the Five Grains or the village will suffer greatly. Oharu tried numerous times and swore that she would run away from home with him. When Goro was five, his mother died of heartbreak and with her last breath, she begging Mahiruma's forgiveness until the end.
Once Setsuna knew about the tragic story, Setsuna severed Mayonaka's thread of fate where Mahiruma embraced Oharu and they ascended into the sky together.

Oharu is described as a kind, sweet, and gentle young woman. Even though the village suffers from poverty, she still remained good-hearted.
