Sesshōmaru's mother's manor is a location that was first introduced in Chapter 467 of the manga, and Episode 176 of the anime.
History[]
Over five centuries ago in the Heian period, the rivaling Beast Kings of the West and East, Tōga and Kirinmaru, had confronted the Grim Comet with Blasting Barrage and Meidō Zangetsuha from their respective swords as Kirinmaru's elder sister, Zero, and Tōga's dog-demon wife had watched from the sidelines.
Inuyasha[]
Inuyasha had noticed a cloud shaped like a female dog, which carried Sesshōmaru's scent as he, Jaken, young Rin and eleven-year-old Kohaku arrived at the palace when Sesshōmaru requested his dog-demon mother to aid in mastering and fully developing the Meidō Zangetsuha technique. The lady of the Dog-Demon Clan had sat on a red cushion-like throne and showed her son her Meidō Stone necklace that her estranged late husband had left her.
Hanyō no Yashahime[]
During a flashback narrative told by Riku in "Farewell Under the Lunar Eclipse", Sesshōmaru, Inuyasha, Kagome and Jaken arrive at the palace when the owner was away to take care of the incoming threat of the Grim Comet in place of the late Tōga and the still-slumbering Kirinmaru.
Fourteen years later, Kirinmaru visits the woman as he asks her about the Windmill of Time, following the recent incidents involving Zero and the Half-Demon Princesses.
Many months later, it is not seen but the pale yellow clouds surrounding it are seen as Kirinmaru confronted the Windmill of Time again, demanding why it would reject him, the strongest of demons, and he heard Akuru's pinwheel spinning and fled after the spirit of spacetime.
In "Akuru's Pinwheel", that night, Takechiyo takes Towa, Setsuna, Moroha, Jaken, and Akuru to the manor of Towa and Setsuna's grandmother to meet her, as the Half-Demon Princesses saw the Windmill of Time where they'll go back to the modern era to destroy the Grim Comet, and their grandmother has expected to see her grandchildren Towa and Setsuna, and her stepgranddaughter Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha, granddaughter of Izayoi. In "The Collapse of the Windmill of Time", Takechiyo has landed on the manor as Towa, Setsuna, Moroha, Jaken, and Akuru gets off in which Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha meets Sesshōmaru's mother and before they gets back to the Reiwa era, they face Meidomaru the guardian of the Windmill of Time from the Underworld. They defeat him as Towa use the Zanseiken's Kyūyōkon to absorb him as his threads of fate are connected to the Windmill of Time, and Setsuna uses her Yukari no Tachikiri to sever it, until Meidomaru goes to the afterlife.
In "When the Grim Comet Falls", Takechiyo and Jaken are still at the mansion as they saw the Grim Comet from Reiwa era have come as the Windmill of Time has vanishes, and they left the mansion as Jaken tells Takechiyo to go to the Sacred Tree of Ages where Sesshōmaru is.
