Skeletal Demon () was a detachment of Naraku that appeared in the video game The Secret of the Cursed Mask.
History[]
The Skeletal Demon was short-lived, being killed not long after it was born. It is first "encountered" by Michiru Kururugi/Kaname Kururugi while they're being mistaken as Utsugi by Naraku and Kagura and they encounter the cocoon that the Skeletal Demon is growing inside of, as told to them by Kanna.
Personality[]
The Skeletal Demon is incredibly aggressive and violent, as seen when it attacks Naraku immediately after being born, even if it was just one of Naraku's demon puppets and not the real thing. It never speaks, only ever cackling and screeching during the battle whenever using its attacks or when attacked.
Physical description[]
As the name implies, it’s a bone demon. Having a bird-like face, it dresses in dark green robes.
Powers & Abilities[]
He can use miasma attacks.
Trivia[]
- Before the battle with the Skeletal Demon, Naraku refers to it as his "Ogre". Whether or not that was meant to be its name is undetermined, as it is tagged with the name "Skeletal Demon" for the fight itself. [citation needed]
- The Skeletal Demon shares a similarity with the Unnamed incarnation of Naraku from Chapter 174 of the manga in that it had a very short lifespan, being killed by Michiru/Kaname and friends not long after it's born, though it does put up more of a fight than the Unnamed Yokai that was destroyed by Kikyō almost immediately after emerging.
- After defeating the Skeletal Demon, Miroku remarks how Naraku created it for the purpose of killing not just Inuyasha and the others, but even Sesshōmaru. This would imply the Skeletal Demon was meant to be at least as strong as - if not stronger than - Sesshōmaru, though the fact it was defeated by Inuyasha and the others without Sesshōmaru's presence would suggest that either Miroku was overestimating the abilities of this incarnation, Naraku underestimated how strong the group was, or the group was collectively more powerful than Sesshōmaru by that point thanks to the presence of Kururugi.
