Spear

A Polearm or Spear (槍) is a weapon composed of a pole with a sharpened point at one or more ends, its length usually allows its fighter to fight from a fair distance and as such, it is commonly used employed with mounted combat. The art of using spears is called sōjutsu, along with Bows, and Swords such as Katanas, they were a essential weapon for Samurai.

In addition to the traditional Yari, there are also Polearms or Halberds, which may have blades at the end. Naginata are a notable type of polearm.

Usage in Inuyasha

Taking place during Japan's warring period, Spears are commonly used by Samurai, Villagers, Bandits and Yōkai.
