Tenkū no Yabusuma (てんくうやぶすま, "Heavenly Arrow Barrage") is a sub-technique of the Sealing Arrow ability, and the signature attack of Kagome Higurashi, and Moroha.

She shoots a sacred arrow in the air, which then creates a barrage of sealing arrows that rain downward on her enemy, rendering them immobile and, if utilized to its maximum potential, entirely seal them within an artificial scroll.

History[]

Kagome first used it to seal down the Full Moon Raccoon Dog.

Moroha first used it to pin down Mistress Three-Eyes from attacking her.

According to Kirinmaru, the red Rainbow Pearl was merely limiting its true potential rather than strengthening it further. It was then seen as several arrows falling down above him as spiritual power covered them completely. Unfortunately, what damage they were truly capable of inflicting was easily blocked by the Beast King's purple demonic energy shield.

Trivia[]

  • This advanced sealing technique was never utilized by Kikyō, so how this was developed or learned is unknown. It was likely invented by Kagome-herself. How Moroha learned it has not been mentioned.
  • The Tenkū no Yabusuma technique is strongly reminiscent of BLEACH character, Uryū Ishida's "Licht Regen" technique.
    • The BLEACH franchise was, itself, inspired from InuYasha.
