The Princess in mist (霧の姫, "Kiri no Hime") was a Princess in a small village. She became possessed by a Coyote yōkai who used her good looks to lure young men home with her. She became suspect by local villagers when they noticed several young village men had disappeared. The demon was secretly consuming the young men's souls to maintain its youth.
History[]
When Miroku and Sango learned about the missing workers, they worked together. Miroku spent more time with the beautiful young princess which enraged Sango enough to realize she had feelings for him. When the duo vanquished the demon from the princess' body, her soul was finally released.
Miroku buried her remains under a tree and told the local villagers her soul would look over them in her afterlife.[1]

- The appearance of the princess proves that Miroku doesn't always display his lecherous personality and has a kind and caring side too.
