Wildcat yōkai (山猫, yamaneko) are a type of cat yōkai that originates from wildcats, as opposed to other cat demons, such as bakeneko or nekomata, which come from domestic cats. They therefore have more in common with the leopard cat yōkai. Bunza is a wildcat yōkai who befriends Inuyasha while training under the demon smith Tōtōsai.
