Yawaragi was an adult wolf demon from Kōga's Wolf Demon Tribe. She was also Moroha's master for 3 years.

History

Hachi the Racoon-Dog had left the infant Moroha to her, Kōga and his wife Ayame for her own safety to raise her. For three years, she raised Moroha on par Kōga's request to train her.

When an 11-year-old Moroha uses the rouge to combat the Birds of Paradise, Yawaragi warns her not to use it, but failed when Moroha scratched her on the left cheek. Later, a Weasel Man came and offered her an Armor of the Iron Rat which would boost her power and defense, only to have a curse where it would shrink down and squeeze the wearer to death. Eventually, she had decided to sell Moroha off to test her strength against the legendary sorcery Kodoku. She decides to pay a visit to Jyūbei the Corpse Dealer, whom she tells that if Moroha were to use her rouge repetitively, she would end up as a monster who only knows how to fight.

Physical Description

She appears a humanoid with a wolf tail, pointed ears and a rope headband. She is seen donning a fur kimono and knee-high fur boots like Kōga. Her hair and attire are pure white, and her eyes are a dark green. She gained scratch marks on her face from when Moroha became Beniyasha and lost control of herself.

• She is the second wolf-demon female to appear in the InuYasha series, the first being Ayame.
• She was in possession of the Kurikaramaru sword originally.
• It is she whom Moroha referred to as "the Master" she owes her debts to in Episode 14.
• She is shown in the second opening "BURN" with a distraught Moroha cradling her in her arms, that would foreshadowing her death in Episode 16.
