Zero's staff (ゼロのスタッフ) was a long thin rod/scepter that Zero primarily used as a weapon or way of communication over a vast distance. She sometimes uses it as a walking stick when feigning weakness to catch her victim off guard.
History[]
Zero's staff was first seen when she disguised her as Otsuyu. She didn't use it to fight, but did use it as a walking stick. Later, Zero used it to fend off the attacks of Moroha and Towa Higurashi. When Moroha, Towa, and Setsuna attacked Zero at the sight of Tōga's death, Zero used her staff to fight them until she was killed by Setsuna's Blood Blade and revived by Sesshōmaru. Zero used her staff to break the blade of Sesshōmaru's Tenseiga in anger. Kirinmaru arrives and infuriates Zero by separating the Rainbow Pearls, and Zero shoots a strand of web out of her staff to retreat.
Later, Zero takes her staff with her when traveling to see Nanahoshi. Like before, she uses her staff as a walking stick until she reveals her true identity. Zero then uses her staff to send the Rainbow Pearls to surround and trap Nanahoshi in a force field. After reabsorbing the Rainbow Pearls, Zero fought Towa with her full demonic power, channeled through her staff. Zero tried to goad Towa into fighting her, and when Setsuna arrived and calmed her twin sister down, Towa later refused to kill Zero.
Furious, Zero raised her staff above her head, and sent the pointed end towards her neck. Just before the staff could impale Zero's neck, Setsuna cut the thread of fate that linked Zero to Tōga's spirit by her Yukari no Tachikiri. The staff stopped at Zero's neck and fell harmlessly to the ground. After Zero asked Riku to put her to rest and was fatally stabbed by him, she used her staff to show the half-demons twins why Kirinmaru hated half-demons. Zero also used the staff to telepathically communicate with Kirinmaru before dying. Her staff fell to the floor and restored the flowers around Nanahoshi's mansion.
Rion later picked up the staff and held it like Zero previously did as she and Riku journeyed to Mount Musubi. Upon confronting her father directly, she created its spiderweb ability and pointed right at Kirinmaru's neck with the intent on ending him herself but couldn't bring herself to do it. Kirinmaru then grabbed the staff and redirected it to impale Riku as he went to help Rion. Riku fell to the ground with the staff in him as Kirinmaru fled with Rion.
Riku caught up with Kirinmaru as he attempted to enter the Reiwa Era with Rion. He clashed swords with Kirinmaru and asked Zero to lend him her power. His sword then transformed into Zero's staff, and he was able to used it to wrap Rion in a cocoon and take away from Kirinmaru. Riku and Rion used the staff to get on Kirinmaru's ship and Riku dropped it to battle a bunch of demons. After being fatally wounded by Osamu Kirin, Riku threw the staff at him, which wrapped him in a webbing cocoon, and allowed Towa to destroy him. It is unknown what happened to Zero's staff afterwards.

- Great Demonic Energy Storing: As in the hands of a very strong daiyōkai, it absorbed and stored great amounts of demonic energy, similar to the Kyūyōkon Root. A light purple aura was emitted from it when Rion was fighting her father.
- Spying: Zero was able to commune with her long-lost niece by projecting Rion's image from it, similar to the Kyūyōkon Root.
- Memory Storing & Projection: Like most demonic objects, it contained important memories of its wielder. It was from here that Zero revealed the reason for her younger brother's hatred towards all humans and hanyō, including the samurai who tried to kill him by the orders of Emperor, and Sakasa whose going to avenge his master's death.
- Demonic Energy Enhancement: Whenever the staff's pointed end is used, the entire staff is surrounded by a aura of purple demonic energy, which could have been drawing more strength from Zero, even after her demise.
- Cocoon: It can formulate a protective cocoon around the wielder's ally in addition to creating a massive dome-shaped spiderweb from its Azusa no Yumihari attack.
Attacks & Techniques[]
- Azusa no Yumihari: This projects a massive dome-shaped spiderweb to work as a means of restraining targets, blocking and redirecting attacks, creating platforms to reach high ground, and aiming projectiles.
